The Europa mouthpieces feature wider tip and side rails than my standard 10K mouthpieces. The wider rails create a warmer sound by adding resistance and dampening some of the upper overtones generated by the reed.
The Europa mouthpieces can be used with cane or synthetic reeds. Of my various mouthpiece designs, the Europa is the most suitable for synthetic reeds.
All Fobes professional mouthpieces are designed to play at A440 with a 67mm barrel and A441 with a 66mm barrel. We also sell barrel tuning rings and mouthpiece tuning rings if you are sharp and want to lower the pitch.
